Our stay at the Dixie Youth World Series is over after a mercy-rule game with Georgia. We beat Mississippi in the first game and then lost the next two (Virginia and Georgia). They whomped on us bad! I tried to take a picture of a poster of my with a cell phone so the pic quality isn't the best but you can get the idea. The center picture was taken after he struck out one of Virginia's batters. It was so so sad when the boys had to remove the Florida State flag from the centerfield fence. It resembled a funeral march of sorts. The boys were crying and so were the parents. My sister said ... "That's just not right!" ... lol ... and vows that if she has kids they are going to be nerds so they don't have to suffer trauma like that ... LOL!
We have stopped in St. Augustine for a few days until my sister flies out to Ohio. It is nice to sit and relax without worrying about batting practice and the such. I will be starting back on my weight loss plan on Sunday. Hopefully it won't take long to get back on track.
Thank you Veronika for the wonderful comments on my son's team's blog. They really enjoyed watching the comments as they came in.

Poor guy's, Yah I can feel the pain in your boy's eyes. I think being optimistic and let him (the team) know there is always another chance another game to win makes him (them) feel a little better. But I also think he (they) don't like to hear that at least not yet…..;
Welcome back to the never-ending struggle and torture we voluntarily devote our self’s to….. in the hopes of better health and slimmer waist’s. I’m waiting in anticipation to surpass (finally) the 20 lbs. mark by tomorrow, if not latest by the end of next week. I have too because I’m going to Sedona and I’m sure there is more food available as I should have.
I'm sorry that the team lost but I'm sure that they'll have some great memories! My husband is 38 and still talks about his Dixie Youth Baseball days!
I hope things are going well for you getting your diet back on track. Best of luck!
Sorry the team los, but what an experience. Just having your kids on a tournament team or on the all stars team is nice, but to actually play in the world series, how cool. Glad you and your family were able to make some valueable memories. Good luck moving forward with your weight loss...
Where are you??? World Series is over and you have disappeared! Are you hiding out at a beauty farm recuperating from the stress of the World Series? Hope you’re doing great and you’re well.
