Ahhhhhhhhhh ... finally a moment to breathe. It seems that since we got back from the World Series (the Saturday before school started), I have been running non-stop. Between my older son's football practices and games, my younger son's conditioning after school with his teammates, and my trying to get to the gym to work-out I haven't had a moment to sit down and blog. Please forgive me.
My weight loss is going great. I have lost nine more pounds since July 17th. Keep in mind that my weight increased during the two weeks of the World Series. Eating out every night at 10:00 PM or later did wonders for my weight loss (NOT!) But since I have been back, I am back to eating healthy and taking Alli on a regular basis again.
One thing that has really helped is that I stay clear of the school cafeteria. I know they work hard to make balanced, nutritional meals for the students but most of what they make won't cut it for me. I have talked an old friend that I used to teach with when I taught elementary school into going to the gym with me. Tonight we even talked about walking on Tuesday and Thursdays when the gym isn't open. I am looking forward to losing more and more weight.
My son noticed the other morning that my clothes are getting baggy and he suggested that we go on a shopping spree for mom. I went through almost $600 at several malls getting the boys all set for school. I told them that when I hit the fifty pound loss mark, then I will go and get some new clothes. Maybe that will be a driving force to keep me working towards the skinnier me.

Hey welcome back and congratulations on the loss. School starts for me next week and I'm not looking forward to it either. Food in school cafeterias is horrible and the only place I know of where pizza and fruit, swimming in sugar water (the fruit) is called healthy. Have fun at the gym with your new exercise buddy. I’m on my way mentally coming back from vacation, and physically will be back home by Wednesday.
Glad to hear you are still doig well on your weight loss. I know exactly what you mean about back to school clothes. I have 3 kids, 16 and 13 yr old daughters and a 9 yr old boy. Money goes quick! Good luck on reaching the 50lb weight loss goal!
How great that someone else noticed the difference! That's always the best feeling.
Congratulations and keep up the great work!
