I am feeling a little pouty today. I had my second weigh in and it seems that I have lost only a pound since my last weigh in. :-( I had lost more but had the bit of a gain that caused it to look bad. I am really trying to stick to the program but it has become increasingly difficult with the more people that show up here. I made a huge pot of chicken and rice and that was pretty close to being within the program. I only had a little of that and then ate a HUGE salad with fat free ranch. Today everyone wanted chili. I was going to make a big pot of regular chili for folks that weren't worried about fat content and a smaller pot with the MorningStar Crumbles for those of us that do. Well, folks had a fit (why, I don't know!) so I ended up making a huge pot with half ground beef and half crumbles. I have some fat free hotdogs so I am just going to put a little on my hotdog so that I can stay within my fat grams for the day. Nothing would be worse than getting TE's while having to change and manipulate my mother. I'll be cleaning up two stinky behinds. LOL!
It is nice visiting with family but it sure can be stressful with this many grown adults who all have their own way of thinking and doing things in regard to my mother. There are moments you can cut the tension here with a knife. Maybe I should add some of that to the chili that I spend half of the afternoon making that I can't even eat. Tainted chili ... ahh ahh ahh .... the true revenge.
In a little over a week, we will be heading back to Florida for about a week to watch my son's state baseball tournament. I can't wait. I sure do miss that turd-muffin. He has called several times all excited about stuff that the town is doing for our team. So far, they have gotten new flex-fit hats with their name and number on the side, matching Mizuno windbreakers with their names embroidered on the back, and matching Mizuno backpack baseball bags with their names embroidered on them. It will be so nice seeing those boys walk on the field looking like they've come to play some serious ball. It is so great that our community has stepped it up a notch for these boys.
I may come back in a bit and add some more to the blog. We'll see.
